Last Wednesday Es had her 20 week scan and ...
its a boy!!!
 The sonographer seemed to be more skilled than any of the other people who have done scans for us. Both of us were amazed at how much detail she could show us. When she worked her way down the baby's body, Mike had already noticed a bit sticking out in between the legs so it was no surprise to him when she told us that she thought it was a boy. She proceeded to show us the proof but I didn't see it at all. Still, they both saw it so it must be right.
Knowing the sex of the wee banana makes it seem much more real. I don't like having to refer to the baby as 'it' so now I can say 'he' and we can finally start thinking about a name. We usually have opposite opinions about names so we wanted to wait until we knew the sex so at least we don't have to think of two names. Any suggestions are welcome but we will probably keep the name quiet until after the birth, just like with Thomas.
Our boy is healthy and all his measurements are within normal parameters so we are really happy. Some of Thomas' measurements were slighty off the scale so for now it seems that his one will be a bit smaller than T was at birth. More chance of a normal birth!
